At the Branchburg Recreation Department – “OUR WORK IS YOUR PLAY!!”  Our goal is to provide the residents of Branchburg with the opportunity to participate in a diverse array of programs, trips and events in their leisure time.  These activities are offered throughout the calendar year typically in winter, spring, summer and fall sessions.  Detailed information on our current offerings and registration procedures can be found below.  Information is also distributed through the school systems individual school websites, the local papers and Comcast channel 27 and FIOS channel 46.

The Branchburg Senior Citizens Program


As of January 2022 the Branchburg Recreation Department has taken
an active role in planning programs and events for the Senior Citizens of the township.
Interested Senior Citizens, 55 and over, may register online through
Community Pass. Register under the Season - 'Annual Senior Citizen Programs 2022',
then sign up for the 'Senior Citizen Program Participant' and pay the annual
membership fee of $15.00.      
Once you pay the annual membership fee you are eligible to register for any Recreation program
at a discount rate ($10 off) and you will be eligible to participate in trips or events.
As programs, trips and events are added to the Annual Season, an email will go out
to the membership & information will be advertised in the Branchburg News.

Senior Meetings are held on Thursdays, at the Community Room at Whiton Hills
1032 Abby Way off Route 202 South, Building #10, Lower Level.
Meetings begin promptly at 11:30 am.
Business meetings - the first Thursday, cupcakes and coffee.
Social meetings - the third Thursday of the month with
"theme" luncheons celebrating: St. Patrick's Day, Baseball's Spring Training,
Halloween, Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season.
Other Thursdays (2nd & 4th of the month) are fun days for socializing, playing cards or
pool, doing puzzles, crafts & TRIPS. Doors are open from 10:00am - 3:00pm

offer a wide variety of recreation and leisure activities and programs
to residents with developmental disabilities.

Please note, effective immediately - UPDATED LIGHT USE for
Tennis & Basketball Courts **
All push button lights will run for 30 minutes and may be utilized between
Dusk and 10:00pm Memorial Day through Labor Day, and from
Dusk to 10:00pm Labor Day through Memorial Day.
** Effective as of 2/2020**

The Somerville High School Tennis Team home courts
are at White Oak Park.
During their Fall (Girls) & Spring (Boys) seasons they practice
Monday thru Friday from 3:00 - 5:00pm.
